A series of fair activities with new themes and diverse contents will be held at the China Home Entertainment Fair. The activities cover areas ranging from audio-visual products, movies and television, music, entertainment, games, animation and the development of the said industries.
● “Home Entertainment Fair Gold Award” Award Selection Process
“Home Entertainment Fair” Award Selection Process covers Gold Award for Audio-Visual Products, Gold Award for Audio-Visual Products Graphic Design, Gold Award for Sales Volume of Audio-Visual products (the sales volume of a single product), Gold Award for the Sales Volume of Distributors of Audio-Visual Products. Audio-Visual companies and audio-visual products (including imported ones) can apply to be considered in the Award Selection Process.
● Home Entertainment Fair “Choice Product” Award Selection Process
Audio-visual products publishers and release units from mainland China can submit programs over which they have legal copy right for selection. There are no restrictions on the program themes, forms and quota. China Home Entertain Fair Committee will authorize the selected units to print signs that read “Choice Product” to stick on the package of the selected program.
●“Welcoming New Cultural Products and the Digital Age” New Media Copy Right Transaction Platform
2006 China Home Entertainment Fair will set up business platforms for audio-visual equipments, coloring ring back tones, animation and comics, Internet games, IPTV, cell phone TV, digital TV, digital movies and other new media contents. An exhibition area will be set up for digital new media. “Digital New Media Copy Right Directory” will be printed. Meetings for suppliers and buyers and cocktail parties will be held.
●Call for excellent original music programs
China Home Entertainment Fair Organizing Committee will launch a campaign called “Lovely China”, calling for excellent original music programs, so as to discover outstanding music talents and promote the development and cooperation of audio-visual companies, record companies, communication, Internet and relevant cultural enterprises. Promotion conference of the products selected for awards will be held. Major record companies and other units that need copy rights will attend the conference. Agreement on Copy Right signing ceremony will be held as well.
●Guangdong (International) Audio-visual Industry Base Investment Promotion Conference
The China Home Entertainment Fair is located at Guangdong (International) Audio-visual Industry Base, which covers an area of about 23.34 hectares. The base serves multi-purposes such as e-commerce, theme tourism, recreation and sightseeing, shopping and leisure, and the dissemination of culture. The base is to develop the following industries: production of audio-visual products, movies and TV programs, creation of animation and comics, publishing and reproduction, release and wholesale, chain operation and copy right transactions, international audio-visual productions display and transactions, education and training. During the 2006 China Home Entertainment Fair period, the industry base will hold investment promotion meetings for relevant projects concurrently.
●Inviting people from overseas libraries to purchase products at the Fair
Library networks, including public libraries and libraries of universities and colleges, libraries of different industries, are a huge source of demand for audio-visual products. The China Home Entertainment Fair will provide information about and easy access to audio-visual products. As an experimental effort, the 2006 China Home Entertainment Fair will send invitation letters to libraries at home and abroad to attend the fair.
Aside from the above-mentioned activities, the 2006 Home Entertainment Fair Organizing Committee will invite the leading people from the cultural sector and the Internet sector to attend the industry forum. Well-established audio-visual enterprises from mainland China will hold press conferences on the shooting of and investment in movies and TV programs, and showcase digital movie theater equipments and systems, and organization interactive “carnivals” for animation and comics and Internet games.
